Upstairs in the boutique, there is now a pretty good supply of paper, stamps and miscellaneous scrapbooking goodies! The section will be expanding and growing in 2011 - help us by supporting the vendors who are there now!

We are also very excited to offer classes on digital scrapbooking. Digital scrapbooking is a great way to scrapbook, because it is all done on your computer! Less mess, less cost, less time! You can crop and adjust your pictures, drag them onto your page (any size)- add paper, embelishments, text, whatever you want. Then print your pages right here at The Cannery! We can even help you get your own printer with refillable ink systems.

Digital Scrapbook Classes
Classes on Photoshop Elements taught by Heather Neilson, local photographer and Digital Scrapbook enthusiast. Heather has been a photographer for 14 years and has been using Photoshop elements for over 10 years.
Beginner Class Price: $35
Description: This class will give you the basic knowledge to be able to function in the Photoshop workspace. When you are done you will be able to create your own scrapbook pages!
Classes offered each Tuesday 9:30am - 12:30
One Friday evening class each month 4:30 - 7:30** – call for date
3 hour class covering:
- Basic photo file management (getting your pictures from your camera to the computer and organizing them) (a separate class will cover the Photoshop organizer)
- Understanding the Photoshop workspace:
- How to use each of the tools on the tool bar
- How to bring pictures into the program
- How layers work
- Making basic scrapbook pages (any size)
- This class can be retaken for $10 when another class is already scheduled.
Beginner Class PLUS – $50
Description: This is the beginner class, plus 2 hours of work time with Heather to help you make your own pages.
Date/time: Tuesdays 9:30am - 2:30
One Friday each month** 4:30- 9:30 – call for date
Scrap-n-Shop – $25
FOR BOTH DIGITAL AND TRADITIONAL SCRAPPERS
(includes a $10 gift certificate for the Boutique!)
Description: This is your time! Scrap all you want, get caught up, share company and creativity with other scrappers – and get some shopping in when you need to stretch your legs! The Building your Creativity (digital) classes listed below can be added to this day for a little extra.
Dates: 3rd Wednesday of each month
October 20th, November 17th, December 15th
(and maybe other dates here and there if needed….)
Time: All day!! 9:30 am – 9:30 pm
Building Your Creativity Classes (class only) - $20
Description: These classes are to help you continue your education and learn new techniques in Photoshop. Continuing classes will be approx. 1 hour of instruction with 30 minutes of question and answer time.
Date/ Time: 10 – 11:30 am on scrap-n-shop days.
You can take just the class, or they are offered in combination with the Scrap-n-Shop for just $10 more.
Scrap-n-Shop + Building your creativity class = $35

What you will need to bring to classes:
- Laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed (any version -newest version is Elements 7 (approx. $90 at costco)
- If you do not have access to a laptop, you can rent ours for only $5
- Pictures!! On your camera, a zip drive or already on your computer. We highly recommend purchasing an external hard drive for storing all of your photos, and digital elements.
